Post-Doc Position
Post-Doc position at the Centre de Recherches Médicales de Lambaréné, Gabon
- Funded by a 2-year career development grant from EDCTP, which includes salary and lab consumables
- Research topics: To be discussed, but must be in the field of infectious diseases, notably malaria and neglected tropical diseases
- Starting Date: January 2022
Tasks
- Perform research to high international standards
- Lead team of lab or field workers
- Author manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals and present research at conferences
- Perform fund raising by writing research grant proposals
Requirements
- PhD degree in life sciences or MD with at least two years medical research experience
- Practical experience in basic immunology and molecular biology
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
- Willingness and ability to travel abroad
- Reliable team player, with very good organizational and social skills
