As part of its support to MCDI's activities, for the improvement of health services in Nyanga province, CERMEL organized a training workshop on PMTCT (Prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV) for health workers from health centers of that province.
From 25 to 29 March 2019, participants benefited from theoretical and practical training on biological
and clinical HIV testing, monitoring of the mother and child, and the continuum of care.
This training was led by expert practitioners in charge of HIV / AIDS from CERMEL
(Dr. Bayodé Roméo ADEGBITE), the Albert Schweitzer Hospital (Dr. Justin OMVA) and the Lambaréné HIV Outpatient Center
(Dr. Fridolin Armel ONDO).
It succeeded in strengthening the capacity of these health workers who represented all levels of care,
namelydoctors, nurses, midwives, biologists, and psychologists.
