The meeting to launch the HelmVitD study was held at CERMEL from 7 to 9 January 2019. The study will assess the effect of maternal helminth infection on Vitamin D regulation and on the immune system of the infant.
During the working session and 10 presentations, various points were discussed, such as: the preliminary data of the pilot study, sites and field teams, the different study procedures on the site, the parasitological diagnostic tools, the immunological tests and data management plan. The participants came from Gabon and Germany.
