From 29. September to 3. October 2014 CERMEL received Dr. Nadine Pakker of the Amsterdam Institut of Global Health and Development (AIGHD), and Miriam Nakitto Galabuzi of AIGHD Uganda for the site initiation visit of the upcoming HookVac trial.
Training of staff on GCP, the study protocol, the CRF were done. Additionally training was provided to the local study monitor and to the data manager. Site facilities such as study drug storage, parasitology lab, clinical lab and pharmacy were evaluated. The team was confident that the site will be ready for study start in the coming weeks.
